NIAMH CROWLEY-10/1/18
After some feedback on the magazine I have made some changes, like making sure the spacing between words are the same. And changing the images so that they look more like real media texts iv'e looked at.

In this lesson, I made some subtle changes to the trailer by adding in a common font for the Production Company text, past films, and the 'based upon a true story' slide. I also added in the font for the film logo.
BLESSON BANGULA-ZOLA - 13/12/17
I made a massive change to the poster by giving the dominant image a red colour overlay. This gives it more of a sinister atmosphere which is the goal since the genre is horror and the sub-genre specifically is a slasher where there is going to quite a lot of blood which is represented by the red overlay. The red also indicates danger and violence which is also elements of the trailer as well. Also, I moved the title to the top because most posters especially the posters that I analysed have the previous version. Another thing that I have done different is that I got rid of the rip effect from the title because according to other people that I have seen the work, it was hard to read.

Today I cut down the trailer to 01:03 in length, a marked improvement on the 01:30 it was beforehand. I also cut in our company logo to the beginning of the trailer.

Plan for the week

Today I developed what Blesson had done with the poster and added the billing block and social media accounts.

I made sure to improve the main coverline (which says The Reawakening) by having the same one as the poster which initially had the same text. The main coverline before this one was too basic in my opinion and doesn't stand out as much as it is supposed to be. It blends in with the other texts that are coloured in red. I put blood on the text and made it into halves to give it that distorted look. This is going to be the iconic title for the movie. Also I added the tagline 'He's back!' which is going to be the temporary tagline for now until the finalised version.

In today's lesson, I continued on with my work on advancing the teaser trailer for 'The Reawakening'. Work on the 'Disruption' segment was my primary focus in today's lesson.
